English tenor Jeremy Ovenden is acknowledged as one of the world's finest interpreters of Mozart.

His roles include Don
Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Ferrando (Così fan Tutte), Emilio (Il Sogno di Scipione ), Soliman (Zaide), Tito (La Clemenza di Tito), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Biondello (Mozart's L'oca del Cairo) and Asdrubale (Mozart's Lo Sposo Deluto), as well as Jupiter (Semele), Nerone (l’Incoronazione di Poppea), Male Chorus (The Rape of Lucretia) and Egisto in Salieri's L'Europa riconosciuta. Jeremy made his debut at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, singing Ferrando in Jonathan Miller's production of Cosi fan Tutte, conducted by Thomas Hengelbrock.

He has collaborated with the world’s leading conductors including Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Muti, Myung-Whun Chung, Diego Fasolis, Ton Koopman, Richard Hickox, Marc Minkowski, Fabio Biondi, René Jacobs, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Paul McCreesh, Christophe Rousset, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Harry Bicket, Nicholas Kraemer, Trevor Pinnock, Thomas Hengelbrock and Jonathan Webb, and with 'conductor-less' orchestras including the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the Freiburger Barockorchester.

Jeremy Ovenden performs at the world's major opera houses including La Scala, La Fenice, Bayerische Staatsoper, Staatsoper Berlin, Oper Frankfurt, Nederlandse Opera, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Théâtre de la Monnaie, Covent Garden, Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, Teatro Comunale del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Regio di Torino and Glyndebourne, in productions by Peter Sellars, Robert Carsen, David McVicar, David Alden, Pierre Audi, Ettore Scola, Pierre Luigi Pizzi, Luca Roncone and Daniele Abbado among others.

He is invited regularly by festivals including Aix-en-Provence, Ambronay, Festival Sacré de Nice, Salzburg and the Proms.

He can be heard in leading concert halls
such as the Musikverein, the Barbican, the Royal Festival Hall, the Concertgebouw, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and St David’s Hall.

Jeremy Ovenden's concert performances have included Bach’s St John Passion, St Matthew Passion, Magnificat, Weinachts-Oratorium and the B Minor Mass; Handel’s Acis and Galatea, Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno, Messiah, Samson, Saul, Theodora and Judas Maccabeus; Mozart's Krönung Messe and Requiem; Holzbauer's Günter Von Schwarzburg; Haydn's Nelson Mass, Die Jahreszeiten and Die Schöpfung; Schubert's Lazarus, Die Schöne Müllerin and Winterreise and Mendelssohn’s Elijah; Rossini's La Riconoscenza and Petite Messe Solennell; Britten's Serenade plus works by Jommelli and Alessandro and Domenico Scarlatti.

Jeremy Ovenden studied
with Norman Bailey and Neil Mackie at the Royal College of Music and Drama in London. He won an Ian Fleming Trust Award, was a finalist in the Kathleen Ferrier Competition and went on to further study with Nicolai Gedda.
